Windows 2003 X64 DC Promo Issue
 

Hi,

Brand new server windows 2003 X64 trying to do a dcpromo and gets to the end and goes through but says some errors occurred during the operation. Consult the event log for more information. Had a look through here and dns has event 414 in there and system has event 29187 running the security editor over the domain controller encountered a non fatal error. Further details in scedcpro.log. Had a look in here and can't see anything major.

This is a test machine for a lab and have done dcpromo on here a few times and no major problems.

Any ideas really appreciated

Did you install DNS service? what is the machine name try changing it. your you using .local in your domain name?
