| Dreaded explorer reset Hellooo! I've been waiting for a chance to post a thread here, I usually have no issues fixing whatever virus may come up by simply reading these forums...but this time I feel like I've tried everything! The explorer.exe resets repeatedly before just not coming back, I can still start new tasks and access the internet. However most "tech" websites are disabled. I have tried combofix and a bunch of other stuff that usually works for me. I have attached the hjt log. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks :) Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 1:52:58 PM, on 1/6/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.5730.0011) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\AvidSDMService.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\InterVideo\DeviceService\DevSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Drivers\MMERefresh.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Common\Google Updater\GoogleUpdaterService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\DVD\ULCDRSvr.exe C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\Core\smax4pnp.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_FATIAFA.EXE C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\Smax4.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\frmwrk32.exe C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\AIM6\aim6.exe C:\Program Files\WiFiConnector\NintendoWFCReg.exe C:\Program Files\AIM6\aolsoftware.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll64.exe C:\Program Files\Webteh\BSplayerPro\bsplayer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll64.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll64.exe C:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll64.exe C:\Documents and Settings\David B\Desktop\HJT(2).exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYBOT~1\SDHelper.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {58F4ACC1-2B60-4792-AFB7-1986C1191EC6} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ljJYQKbC.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {6D794CB4-C7CD-4c6f-BFDC-9B77AFBDC02C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qoMeDVNE.dll O2 - BHO: Groove GFS Browser Helper - {72853161-30C5-4D22-B7F9-0BBC1D38A37E} - C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office12\GRA8E1~1.DLL O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {F4D76F09-7896-458a-890F-E1F05C46069F} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMAXPnP] C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\Core\smax4pnp.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UserFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -u O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvCplDaemon] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvMediaCenter] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [EPSON Stylus CX7800 Series] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_FATIAFA.EXE /P26 "EPSON Stylus CX7800 Series" /O6 "USB001" /M "Stylus CX7800" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMAX] "C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\Smax4.exe" /tray O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Framework Windows] frmwrk32.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpybotSD TeaTimer] C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Aim6] "C:\Program Files\AIM6\aim6.exe" /d locale=en-US ee://aol/imApp O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AIM] C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe -cnetwait.odl O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AdobeUpdater] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Updater5\AdobeUpdater.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo!
