| Are the trojans really gone? (Hijackthis log inside) So, A couple of days Ago I defeated most of a Deadly combo. gadcom.exe and prunnet.exe It was extremely annoying and like most or all rookkits, took over my Administer abilities. I ended up going into the safemode Admin account after two days and had Avast! Scan before windows starts. I believe it got most of the Viruses Because I am no longer "Kicked" from admin accounts By the computer restarting. Yet about once a day or two, my computer gets pop ups that show up out of no where when I don't even have Mozilla Running. That, and AVG is telling me there is a Trojan. It keeps coming back. I feel like the door that The other viruses opened is still open. Here is the Hijackthis log. | Re: Are the trojans really gone? (Hijackthis log inside) There "could" still be something there. Do these steps you will find HERE using the directions you will find in that link; The MBA-M full system scan, removing all that is found, Reboot and do the ESET Online scan, removing all that is found. Reboot and run a new HJT scan and save the log. Post back here with all three logs. Judy |

| Re: Are the trojans really gone? (Hijackthis log inside) Oh! You're right jholland. I just got confused because the cleaning Guide I followed said not to have it delete the files by clicking the check box. So heres the HJT Log now: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 4:29:22 PM, on 1/8/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16762) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\aswUpdSv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashServ.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\WINDOWS\ATKKBService.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgamsvr.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgupsvc.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\avgemc.exe C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\InterVideo\DeviceService\DevSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\LightScribe\LSSrvc.exe C:\Nexon\MapleStory\npkcmsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\HPZipm12.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\slserv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\DVD\ULCDRSvr.exe C:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G PCI Wireless Network Monitor\WLService.exe C:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G PCI Wireless Network Monitor\WMP54Gv4.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\GIZMO2\GIZMO.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\CLI.EXE C:\PROGRA~1\ALWILS~1\Avast4\ashDisp.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMBgMonitor.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMIndexStoreSvr.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMIndexingService.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\cli.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\cli.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WLLoginProxy.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/...ch/search.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/.../www.yahoo.com R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = about:blank R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/...ch/search.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896 R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157 R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/.../www.yahoo.com R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {43CEC76F-CEA0-4C13-9C9B-15FEB741B74C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\yaywtRiH.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: Yahoo! | Re: Are the trojans really gone? (Hijackthis log inside) The files unable to be cleaned by ESET were part of the infection all ready deleted is why they couldn't be cleaned. Run HJT again and put check marks next to the following entries R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = about:blank O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {43CEC76F-CEA0-4C13-9C9B-15FEB741B74C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\yaywtRiH.dll (file missing) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GIZMO2] C:\Program Files\GIZMO2\GIZMO.exe O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware] C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe /install /silent Once the check marks are in place click the Fix Checked button. Exit HJT Now your java program is way out of date, one of the reasons I believe for the infection. You need to download the newest version from HERE. Download the Offline Install and save it to the desktop. Then go to Add/Remove and Uninstall ALL old versions of Java you find there. Once you have completed the uninstalls then double click that install file on the desktop and install the new version. When the install is complete go back to the download page and click Verify Now on the right side of the page. That will take you to the verification page where you can test to be sure the install was complete. Reboot the system and run a new HJT scan and post the log. |
