E-mails vanished after scan
 

I did a scan with A2 this morning, and it picked up this :-

C:\Documents and Settings\Dave Moffatt\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\obht50qj.default\Mail\pop.ntlworld-3.com\Inbox/vid.exe detected: Trojan.Kobcka.CP!IK

so i deleted it as it said it was a risk.

Now, i have noted that old e-mails in my inbox seem to have disappeared !!

New ones are ok, and so are my "archived" ones.

Other users in the family are unaffected, it is only my e-mail.

It`s not the end of the world, but puzzling. Can i get the e-mails back ?

Why have the old ones diapeared ? Have i removed a vital component ?
