| Explorer and Firefox just not them-google-selves lately.... Hello. I followed the "Read me before posting a request for assistance" instructions, so I hope that I have done everything right. 1. thanks for reading this thread. 2. problem description: sounds the same as a lot of other people. after using the internet i noticed that when using google with explorer and firefox , i would be shown the correct title and text of what i was searching for, but the link was odd looking and if i were to click on the link i would be directed to something nasty. for example, i google "dog", and i see the following: Title_ Dogs Trust Text_ The UK's largest dog welfare charity, outreach programs, education, information, dogs for rehoming, legislation and campaigning. Link_ ogsaerx.com/ - 10k - Cached - Similar pages 3. here are the various logs that were requested, separated with -------------: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 00:35:42, on 19/01/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16762) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe c:\program files\common files\logishrd\lvmvfm\LVPrcSrv.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Common\Google Updater\GoogleUpdaterService.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvsvc32.exe C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\pctsAuxs.exe C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\pctsSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscntfy.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\alg.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\Power Management\CePMTray.exe C:\PROGRA~1\EzButton\CPLBTS88.EXE C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\E-KEY\CeEKey.exe C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apoint.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TouchPad\TPTray.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\ezSP_Px.exe C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apntex.exe C:\Program Files\Drag'n Drop CD\BinFiles\DragDrop.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\Program Files\ScanSoft\OmniPageSE\opware32.exe C:\Program Files\NETGEAR\WG511SCU\Utility\Gear511.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\LogiShrd\LComMgr\Communications_Helper.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\Program Files\Logitech\QuickCam10\QuickCam10.exe C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\pctsTray.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\SetPoint.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Logitech\KhalShared\KHALMNPR.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\LogiShrd\LComMgr\LVComSX.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Logishrd\LQCVFX\COCIManager.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe C:\Program Files\Netscape\Navigator 9\navigator.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe R0 -
