| Redhat9 Hangs While Installing HI I AM INSTALLING RED HAT 9 ON M770LMRT REV 1.2A MAINBOARD. WELL AT LEAST TRYING IT HANGS A VARIOUS POINTS ANY IDEA HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM :-| :cry: :o |

| Re: Redhat9 Hangs While Installing That is a PCChips mainboard...so it is Intel Based....the intel810 chipset. The good news is that it has been out for a while so it is bound to have driver support from Linux. The bad news is that you can't install it due to the hangs. I recommend getting a Live CD like PCLinuxOS to boot up and check out to see if it detects all your hardware. Another good one is SimplyMEPIS (thats what I use). After you are able to boot up and see if it works...then you'll know what doesn't install, what does, and whether or not RH9 was the culprit. |
