This is my friend notebook. I am using Tend Micro scan for virus and find this virus as abrove can someone help me have a look plz

The virus is in c:\system volume information\..........

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

"The feature you are trying to use is on a cd rom or other removeable disk that is no available

and then ask yu insert the office dise which i havent got it, is anyone can tell me what to do, every single time when I want to go to word or excel it will got this think appear. thx

2. Reboot into safe mode (you get to the safe mode boot option by hitting the F8 key as your computer is starting up)

- Open Windows Explorer, and in the Folder Options->View settings under the Tools menu, select "show hidden files and folders", and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".

- Find and delete the following folder entirely:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\RULE SURF SOFTWARE FOUR

- Find and delete the following file:
C:\Documents and Settings\Lisa\Local Settings\Application Data\microsoft\internet explorer\V0.26.dat

- For every user account listed under C:\Documents and Settings, delete the entire contents of these folders:

1. Local Settings\Temp
2. Cookies
3. History
4. Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

- Delete the entire content of your C:\Windows\Temp folder.

Note- If you get any messages concerning the deletion of system files such as desktop.ini or index.dat, just choose to delete those files; they'll be automatically regenerated by Windows if needed. Windows will allow you to delete the versions of those files which exist in sub-folders within the main Temp/Temorary folders, but might not let you delete the versions of those files that exist in the main Temp folders themselves; this is normal and OK.

- Empty your Recycle Bin.


3. Reboot normally and post a new log.

I try to delete most of them but the problem is sometime it show that some program is still using so I can't delete all. And also the message is still coming up every single time I start my window and start the miscrsoft word excel...program as well

First of all could you click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and uninstall 'Window Search', 'Window Searching', 'Lop.com', 'LOP SEARCH', 'Browser Enhancer', or 'Ultimate Browser Enhancer' if listed. You may be given a code to insert, do so and reboot when done. If not listed there, run this uninstaller:

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.
