| C/C++ Software Engineer, NYC This is a full time opportunity to be a part of a small tech group within a larger and highly successful hedge fund. The most immediate objective is to build a distributed computing infrastructure to support a quant trading desk in C/C++/Perl on Linux. This is a purely technical role and the manager is looking specifically for hardcore techie with a deep understanding of programming and data structure fundamentals, as well as some system engineering. Experience with open source programming is a big plus. Fast paced, creative environment. This position is hot and has a tentative start date in April. Competitive salaries and generous performance driven bonuses (20-50%) as well as full benefits and other plusses come along with these positions. Requirements: * 3-6 Years total experience * Strong coding fundamentals * Strong background in both C and C++ * Perl or Python scripting * Linux or UNIX OS engineering * Complex analytical and creative problem solving * Self-starter, energy and initiative * Masters or Bachelors in CS, CE or SE Pluses: * Experience with Cloud or Distributed computing * Open source packages (ZeroMQ, Protocol Buffers, TBB, etc) Local candidates preferred, but all considered.
