Can someone ready my hijackthis log, please?????

Hi all. I noticed today when I went to change my desktop picture that I was unable to open my display properties (either by right clicking on my desktop or through control panel). After doing some reading on the subject, I checked out my registry. None of the keys people said were responsible for this were in there. So, then I went to Kellys-Korner and ran #285 to restore. It restored everything in my registry, but made it unavailabe to everyone but administrator. I went back into registry, changed values to "0" and I'm able to now get my Screen Saver, Appearance and Settings to come up in Display Properties, but not Desktop.

I've checked my GP and tryied various fixes there. Nothing.

I forgot to mention that I did a full virus scan as well as a malware scan.

I went ahead and did a hijackthis log anyway... anyone see anything?

I've determined I defiantely have a Nasty. Certain icons are changing - my delete and undo buttons are different and look very stylized. Also my tabs are missing on my IE7.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

* DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.

Reboot the computer
Run a new HJT scan and save that log.
Post back with both logs

And stay out of the registry

Malwarebytes (on their web forum) deternimed that Hijack.DisplayProperties was a false positive and wasn't a problem. It was quarantined anyway and I was still having problems.

Please Run the ESET Online Scanner and attach the ScanLog with your post for assistance.

* You will need to use Internet Explorer to to complete this scan.
* You will need to temporarily Disable your current Anti-virus program.
* Be sure the option to Remove found threats is checked and the option to Scan unwanted applications is Checked.
* When you have completed that scan, a scanlog ought to have been created and located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt. Please post that log for us.

Can't run ESET Online Scanner - the website is blocked by our system admin and they're on vacation for 2 weeks.

Are all outside scanners blocked by your employer? If so, then you may have to wait for your IT person's return. Have checked with RIK here, we both feel there is some sort of infection on the machine, even though Norton says there isn't any. But since this is a company computer you may have to wait until your people return in order to get things straightened out.

If you CAN use another outside scanner than try one of those noted in our
Read me before posting a request for assistance thread.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I've scanned with everything I can think of, but found nothing. I'll wait a few weeks for him to get back and see if he has any solutions. Thanks for the help.
