I have been recently infected with hacktool rootkit and tried to remove it and i'm not sure it was fully cleaned. Anyway, after I restarted my computer one time, I wasn't able to get back on the internet. When I opened IE, it would always say res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp3res.dll/dnserror.htm . I even tried Firefox, but still the same thing.

Anyone know how to solve this? Please help.

The header for HiJackThis is very important: It helps to determine what steps might need to be taken to better secure your system, and provide more efficient cleanup procedures. For example, some files, which are standard on one platform, may indicate a virus or trojan on another. So, be sure to include this information with any future posts.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebyt...are_d5756.html) to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure to checkmark the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Download the update from here if you have problems.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.
