free computer help

I am the owner of http://www.semisupercomputer.net and I am trying to come up with more things to add to the site. It is 100% free and right now I have how to build your own computer and a computer forum. I also provide free support.

Question:

If you had one choice of anything computer related to add to the site and get it free what would it be?

(it can be software or and type of information)

Re: free computer help

I go to the homepage and I'm confused. I see buttons for Step One, Step Two, and Step Three ... but what are they for? Step one of what exactly? When I click the Affiliates button in the blue navigation, it gives me a 404 file not found error message. I'm actually confused what your site offers. Are you a computer support site? Do you sell computers? Are you a computer repair shop? Can I buy components off of the site?

Thank you for your post. I was actually in the middle of completely rearranging the site. If you go there now you will see some changes already. Will not be done making changes for probably a couple weeks. The affiliate link was there because we used to run an affiliate program but we no longer do and it went offline last week. The website was a paid membership site and is being converted to a free resource. Again I still want to know what people want. If they have a software idea they wish someone would make or just a really good instructional on a subject.

free website help ?

Maybe it is just me...But when you ask for feedback on a forum and get it, maybe it would be wise not to ignore what people are saying.

Explain the steps and remove the affiliates button ! ;)

Thank you for your comment...Like I said in the post I am in the process of completely redoing the site. I work as a field service technician and don't always have time to change the site. I have already changed the front page....I am working on changing the others.

Allrighty ! Sorry if I sounded too demanding...

When I am busy creating a -new- section, or altering an excisting one, I make sure that visitors cannot reach it untill it works like it is suposed too.

I would remove the -affiliates- button emediatly even when you are busy.

There is nothing worse than a dead link ! ;)

Simple easy to navigate layout and style. Was a bit confued by the step one, two, three bit though. You should make an article on how to build the best gaming pc, which parts compliments each other etc. If you know how that is.

Being a person who works 8 hours a day and then does the website thing in my spare time I understand your time limitations. I have viewed your site and find it very helpful. I have a number of years experience in building and repairing computers for schools and seeing sites like yours is great. I know that you are still developing your site. I've book marked it so I can get back to it easily, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops in the future. It's okay for some who seem to have all day to develop their websites, but some of us have to work in the real world (cheeky me). Be encouraged and keep working at it. I particularly liked the inclusion of your forum. Good luck!
