vBulletin Email notifications not working

Hi, I hope I put this into the right category
On my Real Estate Forum the vBulletin options are not working.
Could someone tell me where to start troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: vBulletin Email notifications not working

Make sure you can send out emails from your server.

Go here:

AdminCP -> Import & Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Email

The rest is self-explanatory.

Re: vBulletin Email notifications not working

Yikes , That is where the problem lies:

SMTP: localhost
sendmail_from: None
sendmail_path: None

Help Results
The mailing function returned an error while trying to send the mail.
Check your mail server to ensure it is configured correctly to allow PHP to send mail from it. You should also check your mail server's error log for more diagnostic information.

Tell your host to fix it.

Re: vBulletin Email notifications not working

what would be the problem when sending and it says this for that..

Quote:

SMTP: localhost
sendmail_from: None
sendmail_path: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i

Results
No errors were returned while attempting to send the email. Check Removed@gmail.com shortly to confirm you've received the email. If you don't receive the email, try sending the test to a different address. If that fails, check your mail server's configuration.
Erm iit sent it but users are complaing there not receiving there confirm emails..some are however receiving thema dn some are not..

Any idea's?

Currently i'm only sending the email confirmations through mass email to the entire users awaiting confirmation through acp (with a mod to do so of course)
