I am very new to all this, and I need everyones advise and feedback on my first website. I know it needs work, and also lots of content, but if everyone would please take a look at it and let me know what needs changing and how to change it to make it better, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

You did a great job,I would just make it a little more personal, like a testimonial.
But to me it looks fine.

Well, valid XHTML Trans 1.0 and valid CSS, and nice colour scheme (I'm overlooking the fact you use that horrid American spelling of pyjama :D ) and it seems quite readable. I'd maybe consider jusifying the text running down the central part of the page rather than left aligning it; makes it neater.

I notice that a lot of sites go for the tucked into the left approach but, in my opinion, it's nice to set the margins to auto in the CSS so that the page centres itself if the browser is using a resolution greater than 800x600.

I would also make use of the a tag's title attribute so that when people move their mouse over the links the ToolTipText appears. The web credit link would be better if you used their name; nice to be nice.

the site is very well done and its css, xhtml and also validates.. Great job.
I still have a advice though. I really missed the menu until i searched from top to bottom for it. That is frustrating for a visitor with little patience.. Why hide it at the bottom. In my opinion, it would be really better if you add another menu somewhere at the top.

Good job on the overall layout. The site doesn't look like a carbon copy of other sites, and it has visual appeal. The navigation could be improved, though. For example, the menu needs to stick out more. When the page loads on an 800 X 600 resolution, it looks like there's no navigation whatsoever until you scroll. Then there's a rather nondescript box at the bottom of the page. My eye wasn't drawn to it as the menu, and i had to look around on the sidebars to figure out that the navigation wasn't there. It probably took me 20 -30 seconds to figure out that the box was the site's main navigation. But there's also navigation at the very bottom of the page - that should probably be moved upwards, maybe to the top of the page under the header.

Lastly, is "Rooted on the web" your own design company? If so, the navigation on that site looks good. Follow that example and the navigation for the site you posted here will improve greatly.
