| Please help Can't get all the spyware removed DrPMon.dll Hi Everyone. This is my first time posting. I'd appreciate any help. Here's the problem: My teenage son was using my computer. I have Norton Anti Virus and alert windows started popping up about "high risk" and programs attempting to connect to DSN server. Some of them are "wupdt.exe", "thnall1a.exe", "aurareco.exe", and others that I didn't catch. I've done a norton scan which it found some adware and supposedly removed, a trendmicro scan (found 3 trojans and deleted them) several AdAware scans, and spybot scans. It's finding lots of stuff in the registry keys and registry values. The stuff it finds keeps coming back after I restart. It's like it was never removed in the first place. One in particular that doesn't want to leave is c:/windows.system32/DrPMon.dll Adaware tries to remove it on a reboot, but it's still there. How do I get all of this stuff off? Also, I was concerned about seeve.exe It shows up when I do a search for it. Maybe it's a coincidence, but the website he was on when all the pop ups came up was www.letssingit.com Anyway, here's the highjack this log. Hope I did this correctly. | Re: Please help Can't get all the spyware removed DrPMon.dll I read the instructions for the standard Aurora fix. But, when I opened the services utiltiy to disable the system startup service or svcproc, it wasn't there. However, I did run a nailfix and ewido scan, both in safe mode and here is the new hijack log and the ewido log. btw, now I get a message at startup that windows cannot find c:/windows/nail.exe Did I do something wrong? | Re: Please help Can't get all the spyware removed DrPMon.dll Hi, Open NotePad, and copy the contents of the below "Code" box:- cd %windir%Go to File Menu > Save As, and save the file with the name Test.bat and exit from NotePad. Next, perform an online virus scan at Panda ActiveScan with the "Disinfection" option enabled. Save the log file it gives after the scan. Boot in SAFE Mode. Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on nailfix.cmd that you unzipped earlier. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly. Next, run Ewido, click on the "Scanner" button in the left menu, then click on the "Start" button. If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Run HijackThis and click Do only a System scan. Then put a check mark infront of below listed entries:- R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://qus7.hpwis.com/ R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-qus7.hpwis.com/ R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://channels.aimtoday.com/search/aimtoolbar.jsp R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://srch-qus7.hpwis.com/ R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://channels.aimtoday.com/search/aimtoolbar.jsp F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe O2 - BHO: AuroraHandlerObj Class - {4AA870AC-8427-42a4-B92E-ECD956197489} - C:\WINDOWS\AuroraHandler.dll (file missing) O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qoyexu] c:\windows\system32\pdwfwwj.exe r O15 - Trusted Zone: www.yugioh-deck.com O16 - DPF: {DF780F87-FF2B-4DF8-92D0-73DB16A1543A} (PopCapLoader Object) - http://www.popcap.com/games/popcaploader_v6.cab Close all other open programs except Hijackthis and click the button Fix Checked in HijackThis. Double-Click on the file Test.bat, a small DOS type window should open and close immediately. Run CCleaner, click "Run Cleaner" button to start cleaning. Next, click Issues button in the left pane, and click "Scan for issues". If it finds anything, click "Fix selected issues" to fix them. Reboot to Normal Mode and run HijackThis again. Then click Do a System scan and save log, and post the fresh log, alomg with the Panda log and Ewido log. |
