LCD Monitor screen flickering white??
 

Hey guys,I posted this in the wrong forum and it has not been moved so I'll repost it here. Ok I've got a serious problem, last night my monitor started to flicker, white lines f varying width would flicker across the screen and the entire screen would go white for up to 10 secs.

I have an LCD monitor which is about 5 years old, its a samtron 51s,

I have tried changing the refresh rate but this does not work. It even occurs as the computer is botting up and also occurs in safe mode.

Is ita problem with the monitor itself and am I going to have to get a new one?

Hi Beef246,
from what you describe..it's most likely the monitor.. but.. before you run out & get a new one..
Do a complete hardware system troubleshootiing for Monitor, Video, RAM, video card, & possiblY motherboard (if your not using a video card).
The free beginners charts at my website will get you started.
