| A Review of PHP-Nuke Product: PHP-Nuke Category: Content Management System Cost: Open Source (FREE) Website: www.phpnuke.org Support Page: http://www.nukesupport.com/ Ratings (all ratings are out of 10, 1 being low rating, 10 being excellent): Ease of Use: 5 Features: 9 Support Structure: 5 Flexibility: 10 Recently I decided it was time to re-design my eZine The Business of Writing. On starting out I wanted something which would allow article writers to submit their articles for review online so that it would be harder for me to lose track of manuscripts. I also wanted to streamline the look and improve the navigation on the site. I planned to take my eZine to the next level. PHP-Nuke is turning out to be the way to do it. Through a very easy administrator's control panel you can alter what shows up on the site, create new boxes, hide boxes from non-registered users, and much more. In short it makes running a web-based eZine a breeze. My only major complaint is that the archive seems to be based on the number of articles and not date sensitive. |
