Any help with a Defult Value and Validation RULE. **MICROSOFT ACCESS**
 

Hi i am creating a database im ok, just havent used it for years and years. I need a defult value which will add todays date. And a validation Rule that will prevent date entries prior to 1/1/2002

Can anyone please help me!! Thanks Jay

Use [Now] as a default value

Format mm/dd/yy
Default Value Date$()
Validation Rule =[Text8]>#12/31/01#

The validation rule is used under properties of the TEXT8.text

set default value as ="date"() if his doesnt work

also if he isnt american he wont want the date format u have specified in post above

1/1/2002 can also be uk :P lmao
