Microphone problems

hello, i have a logitech headset, no drivers were needed jst a simple plug in and play.

thing is wen i have music on or i am running a game people can hear it thru my microphone, but its not loud enough on the headset and my speakers are turned off.. any ideas how to fix this problem?

i also have the new alienware 7500 so i hope its not my mother board.
