Firewire PCI card problem
 

I've got a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000-G motherboard. When I install a firewire card into it and then turn the power supply on I get a long continuous beep until the power supply is turned off. This beep occurs before the computer is booted.

I've got an IOGEAR 800 firewire 3 port PCI card and a BELKIN 400 firewire/2.0 USB PCI card with 2 ports apiece for the firewire/usb connections. Both cards have the same problem.

Any ideas as to what the problem is?
