| Problems with LinkMaker Adware; "Server busy" pop ups and more Hi there. I really hope someone can help me before I pull my hair out. About a week ago our Nanny's kids used my computer while I was out and when I returned there were two short cuts on the desktop. One said "Free I-pod nano" and the other said "Free $100 Poker chip". Things have gone from bad to worse ever since. I had an outdated version of Norton antivirus which I've since updated. I've also ran Spybot and Adaware but the adware pop-ups are persisting (possibly getting worse). Norton notifies me that it has blocked Adware.Linkmaker. It then scans and deletes but then comes back again. The computer is painfully slow at times and I now get a message saying "Server Busy" which I can't remove from the middle of my screen. I downloaded Hijack this and did a scan. Below are the results: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 11:25:23 AM, on 10/07/2006 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SNDSrvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SPBBC\SPBBCSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\ALUSchedulerSvc.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree\CFSvcs.exe C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\cvpnd.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\DVDRAMSV.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM\Binn\sqlservr.exe C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\IWP\NPFMntor.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\HPZipm12.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ThpSrv.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TME3\Tmesrv31.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\00THotkey.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\TFNF5.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TOSHIBA Zooming Utility\SmoothView.exe C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPLpr.exe C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TouchED\TouchED.Exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\Wireless Hotkey\TosHKCW.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\TPSODDCtl.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TOSHIBA Controls\TFncKy.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TME3\TMERzCtl.EXE C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TME3\TMEEJME.EXE C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\bdpn.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\thpsrv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\TPSBattM.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\xd7ehbkw.exe C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree\CFSServ.exe C:\WINDOWS\AGRSMMSG.exe C:\WINDOWS\ms045976350-187.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\wcescomm.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~3\rapimgr.exe C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree\CFXFER.exe C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\TosBtMng.exe C:\Program Files\palmOne\Hotsync.exe C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\TosA2dp.exe C:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin\WinCinemaMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Nikon\PictureProject\NkbMonitor.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\RAMASST.exe C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\TosAVRC.exe C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\TosBtHsp.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ASEMBL~1\spool32.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Console\NSCSRVCE.EXE C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqgalry.exe C:\Program Files\?dobe\w?auclt.exe C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\navw32.exe C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe C:\DOCUME~1\andyc\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX01.969\HijackThis.exe R3 -
