Laptop monitor problem
 

Hi

Iv bought a Dell Insiron 6400 about 6 weeks back and all of a sudden yesterday it decided to start playing up.

Basically the screen just went black, I was watching a DVD and the screen went black but everything else I think stayed functioning because I could still hear the sound etc.

Now whenever I restart my computer the screen will only stay on for about 2minutes before switching off again. Same with going on stand by but this is annoying coz i lose my net connection etc whenever I do this.

Iv set all my power options to 'never switch off' and all that, so this isnt the problem.

Any ideas whats wrong and what I could do to try and fix it.

Im no expert with computers so any solutions will prob need to be step by step.
