My pc is acting very strange sometimes and I think I have a virus or something as once when i came back to my pc the cursor was moving by itself. I have attached a log of hijack this - please please please can someone help me.

I have just noticed on Norton Security Suite about an error message re hacktool.hidewindow

I have attached an error log from Norton as well.

First thing....do you still have Spywaredoctor on your machine? Because I could not see an entry for it.. and am wondering if Symantec is not picking up a siganture in the sdhelp.exe file....
Moving on.. i walked my eyes over the HT log and could not see any supicious entries. But since Symantec detected Hacktool.HideWindow, Google that name and go to the symantec site, click on removal, and follow the instructions there.
Do you find your system is a bit slow with both symantec and norton AV running?
The [mouse?] cursor moving... if it is just jittering, u could have an optical mouse? and they occasionally do that. If it's moving in a definite, controlled sort of way, then.... erk! [Remote assistance .. i assume uv turned this off if u never use it?] I doubt if any hacker would bother moving the cursor! A dead give-away!

Mark.. did you get this sorted out? There is absolutely nothing wrong with the HT log as far as i can tell, so you have met a very good hacker. Norton detected him, deleted some of his stuff but he already laid down some other undetectable files obviously. you are lucky in that the things he did while you were watching are fairly benign...
eg... the iexplore http://ashkel..... i could not load from opera [obviously not compatible..], and IE is too full of holes for me to wish to try with it...
He opened a cmd window and did nothing with it?
The first URL is a spanish blog site, and harmless...
Frankly, half the world's hackers are from Spain or Russia.... I think you met one who is just showing off. However.... he got in, he stayed in even after Norton found him... smells of a rootkit to hide his gear. For the fun of it, go get RKR, a free scanner, from here [the author's site]:-
www.sysinternals.com [browse the site, they have some good free stuff, and they do work contracts for M$, so they aren't tired hacks exactly..].
It's only a REVEALER - it's up to you to google what it reports and then find fixes, or post a log here and we'll see what we can sort out.... No, please post it here... i wanna see what got into your puter.
Also go get this one, blacklite blbeta - it's free until january [ they keep extending the shutoff date..:)], and run put a shortcut on your desktop...

VNC is remote control software. Its likely this is whats being used to make the cursor move without you touching it (someone can just connect to your PC via VNC)

Remove VNC through add/remove programs pleqase
