DaniWeb IT Discussion Community - Internet Connected But Won't Open Web Pages

My laptop will no longer allow me to open up web pages or im clients.It still says I'm connected but no pages will load.When I check my connection status it shows it is actively sending and recieving data.
When I go into system information and run net diagnostics my network adapters fail.The defaultIPgateway passes,the DHCPserver passes,the DNSserversearchorder passes,but the IPaddress itself fails,net diagnostics pings it 4 times and all 4 are lost.
In CDM ipconfig /all I have a valid ip address.I can successfully ping 4.2.2.1 and successfully ping www.yahoo.com.
Also,when I'm trying to load a page on the internet before it just shows the page that says it can't find the server the status bar at the bottom shows (for example) www.google.com.net when I only typed in www.google.com
I tried deleting and reinstalling IE in case it was corrupted.
I tried installing Firefox as well in case it was just IE that wouldn't work.
I tried restarting my system,repairing the internet connection,unplugging modem and router for about 10 minutes before plugging back in.
Ran (in normal and safe mode) Ad-Aware Se,nothing found
Ran (in normal and safe mode) Spybot S&D,nothing found
Ran winsockxpfix
Ran lspfix
Ran sfc scan
Cleared the cookies,cache,all offline files
Deleted all temp files from Administrator and other user accounts in safe mode
Checked all ip,dns,and dhcp information is accurate
Tried running ipconfig /flushdns
Tried running netsh Winsock reset
I'm completely at a loss,was working fine wednesday when I logged off and then thursday morning the modem was out and when I came home from work and the modem was back up I tried to log on and then this problem started.I have also tried connecting directly through the modem instead of the router and the same problem persists.Someone please help!! :sad:
