Storing passwords using reversible encryption in Active Directory While running through some user accounts in our ADS setup I noticed that one of them is set to "Store password using reversible encryption." This is no good and does not meet the company's security requirements that I work for. My question is if I uncheck this setting will I possibly lose the ability to login as this account anymore?

Re: Storing passwords using reversible encryption in Active Directory I doubt it would not allow the user to login. If anything, it might require you to reset the user's password.

Re: Storing passwords using reversible encryption in Active Directory It doesn't do anything other than what it describes, and won't require the user to change his/her password.
