We are a full service interactive agency, looking to partner with web developers living in India, the Phillipines, etc. (outside the U.S. or Western Europe).

We are looking for developers that have a history of managing themselves; and, can be relied on to do the same here. This is a fulltime employment position. We are looking to eventually open offices in the region; and, we are looking for people that can help start that process.

I am located in India and is in the process of setting up a software development firm with my partners.

I have done large projects with my past and current employers on J2EE based web applications.I have exprience in setting up development teams which can undertake from Requirements to execution (complete SDLC cycle). We work with Agile methodologies so that there are no last minute surprises.

We can execute project in AJAX and J2EE based web applications incorporating Service oriented architecture. We can deliver the products on opensource (JBoss/Tomcat) as well as commercial platforms(Weblogic/Websphere).

I am representing one of the biggest Software Companies in Ukraine, Softline (www.softline.kiev.ua) who is specializing in cooperation with businesses providing them with their entire internet and intranet also telecommunication needs.
As usually happens with a new partnership, both our companies are facing certain risks. Discussing and addressing those risks in the very beginning makes a shortcut to decision about partnership.
Some of the risks I can anticipate from your side are:

1. Will they deliver in time (do they have enough people with required skills and adequate process)?
2. Will they deliver with required quality?
3. Will they understand us well enough, so that we do not spend on communication more time than we would like to?
4. Are they reliable company that will not disappear in the middle of the project?

There may be other important questions you might be interested in. Please ask if you have them.
My short answers to the questions will be

1. Softline has about 550 full time employees and growing. We have stream of small java, C/C++ and Delphi projects (1-4 weeks) that allow us to keep almost all the people busy all the time, and to be able pulling them out to bigger projects when needed. For server-side applications, we use C#, JSP, PHP, ASP and Net Data. We also work with database MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, MS Access and Interface and can use HTML, XML and JavaScript
2. Our company has developed its own 4GL platform “Megapolis” and used it to build several products and many customized solutions in different business areas. We are partners of Oracle, Microsoft, IBM and other big names. We have certified training centre that trains our personnel for Oracle, Microsoft and Java.
3. We are CMMI 3 Company and are certifying for CMMI4 this year. We are ISO 9000 certified company for many years.
4. We are aware of this risk and will have one professional person communicating all the initial requirements and escalated issues. To speed up development, we suggest using our bug tracking system Jira for submitting issues and tracking tasks completion/acceptance.
5. We are 11 years on the market with many projects going on in parallel for many customers. We are financially healthy and grew last year twice in revenue. We value relationships with our customers very high. That is why our customers continue working with us for many years. For example if we are having problems with a project by our fault, we are involving additional high quality resources and deliver what was promised despite possible financial losses from our side.
