Midtown based Company seeking a highly self motivated full time contract Senior Web Developer with a strong background of ASP.NET, AJAX, VB, Java, MS SQL database design, XML, and IIS all within Windows environment. Candidate must be knowledgeable with GUI and API concepts. Ideal person must be willing to learn new languages, have good communication and project management skills, be a team player, organized and thorough.

We are looking for someone to be working on-site on a contract basis. It will be long term.

Skills and Experience required:

- Knowledge and experience developing with: ASP, ASP.NET, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, ADO, XML and other common web technologies.
- Experience with modular/component based web applications.
- Experience working with template driven web apps.
- Good knowledge and experience of SQL Server, ability to write stored procedures, Views and SQL statements, database design and analysis.
- Knowledge in current internet standards, including XML, Web browsers and browser specification.
- Must be security conscious. Security certifications in related topics a major plus!

Primary Responsibility:

- Enhance and maintain our in-house web applications.
- Convert our in-house apps to fully modular, AJAX enables sites.
- Develop reusable and testable code according to established best practices and adopted standards.
- Complete life cycle application testing and maintenance. (Development to staging to production)

Qualification:

- 3+ years experience developing interactive, dynamic, data-driven, highly available web applications.
- 3+ years experience working with MS SQL database, database design, analysis etc..
- 3+ years experience working on front-end GUI (ASP.NET, CSS, HTML/DHTML, XML, AJAX, VBscript, JavaScript etc.)
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Must show previous work done in the above mentioned topics.
