| Security Toolbar 7.1 I think I am infected with securitytoolbar 7.1 but i am not sure, I have seen its description and symptoms on SecurityToolbar 7.1 Removal but again not quite sure if it is the one present on my computer. My AnvtiVirus cannot detect it either. Did someone already infected and cleaned this adware? |

| Re: Solution to Removing Security Toolbar 7.1 Today, I got this bothersome software that attached itself to IE and gave me 'pop-up' warnings repeatedly. It didn't show up when I ran AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy, AVG or McAfee. What I did to eliminate 'Security Toolbar 7.1' from my PC was this: 1) Boot up in 'Safe Mode' (On most PC's, press F8 before the Windows screen appears.) 2) Select 'Safe Mode' (option 1) and your operating system 3) Select 'return an earlier configuration' (I chose yesterday's date since I just got it today) 4) Reboot your PC It was a simple solution that eliminated the problem. (Hey, It only took me 3 hours of research and running antispyware programs to 'discover' this suggestion.......) It removed the 'Security Toolbar 7.1' from IE and all those pop-up warnings have stopped. It's very suspicious to me that this spyware directs you to the website to buy a anti-spyware program to rid your PC of 'Security Toolbar 7.1'. (I forgot the name of the website already, sorry) Did that company infect my PC so they could trick me into buying their product??????? Well, it didn't work. I wanted to post this so people know they don't have to buy anything to rid their PC of this nagging spyware. |
