| sksyn32.exe error when I log-in to XP and res://<the nightmare Sorry if this is in the wrong forums, but this problem has 2 parts. I have a Toshiba Laptop, Windows XP SP1(XP Home Edition) Problem #1: Well, as soon as I log-in to my windows XP account, before my desktop loads, this error comes like 5 times: click here for picture Details of Picture: First thing you can't see anything, but that is not the point. It is the error that comes alot, you have probably seen alot it if you have Xp (the send error report or don't send thing error). Here is a little description of what the famous annoying error says: Top white space: syskn32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Middle Gray Space: If you were in the middle of something...blah blah blah... Bottom 2 buttons: Button1: Send Error Report / Button 2: Don't Send That is first error, another one like that comes with it also 2 times with this one which says all the same stuff except not syskn32.exe, but it says addgq.exe . These 2 errors slow down the log-in speed and keep annoying me on log-in. Please help me. Problem #2: Well, my res://?.dll#????? problem is over, but only on my account. All the other accounts on my laptop still have the problem, what is wrong here. My account only has the CLICK HERE problem. I did the fix, but it is only fixed temporarily, so the can't find websitename.com error keeps coming back every time I close and re-open IE. CAUSE: Well, I am not sure, but it started after I installed trojan hunter and after I finished a spy-bot S&D scan, ad-aware scan, CWShredder scan, and an About Buster Scan in Safe Mode. But it can't be the scan fixes because it has never happened before, but the About Buster in safe mode scan could have done something. As soon after this the res:// problem and everything else happened. I am pretty sure the Trojan Hunter did it because I restored my computer to one day ago so trojan hunter was remover and my last scan of Spybot was undone. Now my IE's res:// problem was fixed (on my account only), but the problems above have started. What should I do? | Re: What Should I Do Next? Well, thanks alot because all my res:// problems are finished, but the www always has to be typed problem keeps coming back. I fixed it with the IEFIX registry file, but it keeps coming back everytime I re-boot. Do I have a virus, or...........? I did 3 virus scans already, one from houscall.trendmicro.com, panda online virus scan, and norton anti-virus 2004 scan. Nothing helps. Can you help me? By the way, below is a fresh log, just in-case you need one. NOTE: The BHO: (no name) file keeps coming back, but the file name changes. Please download TheKillbox from here: http://www.computercops.biz/zx/phoenix22/KillBox.zip Unzip the files to a folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following: C:\WINDOWS\system32\appoc32.dll Don't click any of the buttons though, instead please click on the Action menu and choose "Delete on Reboot". On the next screen, click on the File menu and choose "Add File". The filenameand path should show up in the window. If that's successful, choose the Action menu and select "Process and Reboot". You'll be prompted to reboot, do so. |

| Re: What Should I Do Next? I just got a problem, all problems were fixed, but temporarily. Just now I noticed the about:blank thing come up in the hi-jack this scan. I used About Buster, and it removed everything which was causing the problem, but after I rebooted the Laptop, the problem came back. Below is what came from a fresh Hi-Jack This Scan.
