How to resolve timeout expired in Crystal Report.

I have made a report in Crystal Report, fetching records by SQL Query from ODBC Datasource.
The query is taking too much time and error is comming after 50 seconds that
timeout expired.
What would be the problem ??

Check wheather thers is any lock on the table . Use indexes to increa the performance.
