Install and configure databases (including tables, views, keys, etc), administer policies, standards, procedures and guidelines necessary to effectively maintain the database environment.

Manage ongoing performance in a distributed multiple server, multiple
terabyte scale environment.

Create, monitor and execute Data Transformation Services (DTS) packages for the migration of data from various data sources to SQL Server databases. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services preferred. Cross-database experience with Oracle, MySQL, and others preferred.

Document and maintain database system specifications, diagrams and connectivity charts

Create database queries, indexes and stored procedures, some with a high degree of complexity. Assist and educate staff members on the creation of these procedures.

Design complex physical and logical data models

Performance-tune and optimize all databases

Install and configure any new data servers (hardware, software, physical databases)

Develop, test and administer database security procedures

Develop, test and administer database backup and recovery procedures
