I am seeking a programmer or programmers to assist me with some software, web, Flash and Android App development ideas that I have. Obviously you don't have to be experienced within all areas to possibly partner with me, you just have to be good and passionate within the area you are interested. For example if you have PHP and Actionscripting skills, but love doing PHP, then your focus would be on a PHP project. If you like coding in C++ then that is the type of project you would work on. The ultimate goal is for me to find a partner or partners for different projects, but at the same time have those partners do what they love to do, because this of course speeds up the development process.

On top of this I'm looking for programmers with a creative sense, not a design sense, but a creative sense. Obviously as partners I don't want to focus on just projects that I am interested in creating, but projects that you are interested in creating as well. This in a sense keeps us motivated towards our goal.

Ideally good partners are those programmers that already have some work, but have some time to work in their spare time, maybe for 4 or 5 hours two to three times a week, maybe less. Obviously since it is a joint venture and no money is involved right off then your time has to be spent on projects that make you money and projects that will make you money eventually have to be done in your free time. I understand this and therefore I don't issue outrageous deadlines or expectations that you might see from other partnership programs.

My background is in web design and development. I also do a lot of project management, graphic design, identity design, and some marketing. I'm not really a programmer, although I know my way around PHP, I don't do a lot of custom scripting, it's not my strong suit by any means. So I know my way around the process, I just need a programmer to create the programs for me so that I can dress them up and present them to the public.

What I am offering in return for anyone interested is of course equity, 40 to 50% of the product that you assist with, but I am very negotiable. Ideally I would like for all partners to receive 40%, I would receive 40% and then 20% into the "company pot," so to speak. This 20% depending on how large it is can assist in seeking out larger investors for projects down the road, or that 20% can be used as payment to either me or the programmer if a product becomes a flop. Obviously for the company pot to matter, we would need a couple of successes, which I think is obtainable. In the end what happens to the product is up to me and the programmer, if we create something that you absolutely love, then it might be in your best interest to pursue that product to the very end. There will be other products that we create that become successful and we decide just to part ways with and sell. Ultimately it is something we would decide upon as partners.

I am also willing if I have a couple of programmers interested that are working on several different projects of mine to possibly take a lower percentage for myself if need be. I am not greedy, I've just always had a dream of selling some of my own software products, web services or apps. I'm looking for someone or several people that have that same dream, but need assistance within the design and marketing aspect of things.

If interested let me know, I'll try to respond to comments as quickly as possible. I am mostly interested in programmers from the US, I live on the East Coast, so programmers on the East Coast work best as well. I'm not looking for oversea's programmers at the moment, because I need someone that is preferably within the same time zone.

I am a 3D artist and I'm at the early staged of developing an unreal 'total coversion' so essentially a new game powered by the Unreal Technology.

I have been working with a writer to develop a story based around a world powered by steam technology. I have included a brief synopsis of the 5 main cultures in this game to give you an idea of the world we are trying to create.

I have created a few models already but my knowledge of Unreal is limited.

I am looking for a couple of key people to help with this game. First of all is an experienced or qualified game designer who knows what gameplay elements will fit this game and its story. We have ideas for gameplay but we are not game designers so we are kind of taking stabs in the dark. We need someone to make some decisions on the gameplay side of things.

We are also looking for a concept artist to visualise the world and characters.

Now this is a completely voluntary team so the only thing I can offer in return is a useful way to create examples of work and to gain experience if you are looking to get into the games industry professionally.

The largest of the three Houses, both in terms of size and population (bigger than Tork and Fyfe combined). Originally formed when six smaller tribes banded together, although that was a long time ago. These days Praedyn is ruled by a council, which is attended by members of each of the tribes. It’s the closest to what we would consider a democracy, but Praedyn falls short of open democratic elections. Has the largest gap in terms of living conditions, some do well, others not so. This can sometimes lad to friction along old tribal lines, but this never goes far – all six tribes know that their strength lies in unity; either Tork or Fyfe could roll them if the splintered.

The most insular of the three Houses. Founded on a religion. Has a high degree of wealth, citizens have good conditions but must dedicate a considerable amount of personal time and money toward the church. Also has a strong military presence. It’s rumoured that Tork High Priests are able to wield arcane power (Arcane), but as the Houses have lived in relative peace for so long, no-one actually knows if this is true. It is also highly unlikely, as the use of Arcarna has been banned for around two thousand years.

The Patchers Guild are steam engineers. They’re responsible for building and maintaining the steam technology in Meridia. The Guild exists as an independent body outside direct the control of the three Houses.

When steam was harnessed, they offered their services to all Houses (for a price) and in return delivered steam power and all its benefits. Outside the territorial boundaries (and protection) of the three Houses lie the outer provinces. It’s the Wild West out there. It's basically just a simple 2D MMO with a very heavy emphasis on humor and eye candy.

We're currently developing the client in Python, the server in C, and we're using a MySQL database to store user information.

What we're looking for is a pretty easy going programmer for programming our game tools (map maker, sprite editor, NPC editor, etc..). We do have a fairly simple mapping program (quite crude atm!) and some features that already work (such as a centralized tile database on our server that updates map editors automatically) but we really need some heavy duty development in that area.

We prefer someone who enjoys working with Python, but either way, we really don't mind (C++, Visual Basic, heck even PHP is alright!). We just need someone who is capable of getting together a simple set of tools for windows.

We do have a fairly simple mapping program (quite crude atm!) and some features that already work (such as a centralized tile database on our server that updates map editors automatically) but we really need some heavy duty development in that area.

We prefer someone who enjoys working with Python, but either way, we really don't mind (C++, Visual Basic, heck even PHP is alright!). We just need someone who is capable of getting together a simple set of tools for windows.

Plans include 1) updating a website (inputting new data - a sequel on an interesting court case) that has not been updated in 1.5 years, yet hits around 7,000 monthly at last stats; 2) web streaming as pay-per-view; 3) publishing a series of videos of cyberstalking as it happens (I am horribly censored and started filming it long ago). My videos may get as many hits as the "Leave Britney Spears Alone" videos and re-mixes got - over 100 million views. I don't think anyone else has videos of cyberstalking actually occurring, although the public is very interested in cyberstalking and cyberterrorism.

I need to partner with someone with the computer savvy to set these things up and make them secure. I contacted Google AdSense, but the censorship force must have known that I would eventually do that. Somehow, they set up interference. When I went to AdSense, I got a message that I already had applied, although I had not, and that a response would be sent within a week, and it was never received in my gmail.

I don't know much about monetizing sites, securing computers and online networks, web cam, etc., and frankly I do not want to learn. I only want to write and direct my online community, and have someone else deal with the computer issues - setup, security (a BIG problem), backup, etc.

What do you think would be a fair equity split for such a project? Here at CNM we believe the player has enough rules in his life, enough people he must answer to. So why should he have to play a game where he must fallow some pencil pushers rules? We want you to be the master and commander of your race.

The game is designed to allow the player the power to create and control his fleets as he wishes. he can customize the ships weapons, hulls, formations, reactions to enemies, colors and much more. It is impossible to sum up all of the communicability and freedom in a post so if you are interested feel free to write me with any questions.

We are also taking old ideas and revamping them. Every RTS player knows about formations and stances (hold ground, aggressive etc). Well we are taking the great idea and making it better. In this game we give the player the power to designed his own formations with a in game “Formation Builder”. then he can assign it to any fleet or squadron, we are doing a similar thing with stances. Allow the player to set up custom fleet stances that will react on specific triggers the player can set up in a “Stance Builder”.

The player will also be facing one of the largest RTS AI ever created. It will think and adapt on the fly to what to do. It will be unpredictable it also will use a mixture classic RTS tactics and new ones designed by our team of RTS tacticians who have been playing RTS games since the dawn of StarCraft.

CNM take great pride in there work and are dedicated enough to create a game worthy of being called a true MMORTS.

Compensation:
We already have inverters interested, for now they only cover basic expenses. They require us to show them a working alpha and then we will start to have more of a cash flow. I do not know if it will cover full salaries but it will be a start. Before you start work we will also agree a pone compensation and I will have a contract written up to secure that you will be payed for the work you do.

We are quite far along in developing our own engine, we were working with the Trinigy engine but as it turned out we had to edit the engine to the point of just dropping it and deciding to build out own. So far that has proven to be a good decision as we have been progressing well.

a MMORTS is a massive project, And will require a lot of work, but it is also something that has not been done successfully before do to planning errors and putting recourses into the wrong places. Additional Info:
one of the major aspects of this game that sets it apart from other RTS games is the fact it is a FPS&RPG. (Bare with my wile I explain this concept)

wen you are in “RTS” mode your FOV is locked onto a hologram representation of the battle fleed. effectively anything you would normally see on your screen in a RTS but it is in Holographic forum, this allows us to add a much more immersion to the game as you can exit RTS mode and enter free rome and walk about the capital ships Bridge speak to the crew interact with them, and you can hire better crew members for your bridge who have special skills that fit your tactical style. Also the character your play, the fleets Admiral can gane XP and similar to the way in most RTS games the units can gain ranks (1 star 2 star 3 star units) instead of that system your units will gain a few small bounces from the rank of the admiral in that fleet, giving a bit of a RPG feel of leveling up and picking your attributes.
If your capital ship is destroyed in a battle there is a bit of a delay wile your second in command ship is upgraded to a capital ship which adds a new level of tactics, hiding your capital ship and spotting the enemies capital ship to be able to destroy it. You loss your crew and Admiral wen you loss your capital ship but the bounces they give are not that important, they are nice and helpfull but you can win without them.

I made a post here a wile back about this project, and I was asked 1 question over and over so I would like to address it here.

Question: how will you make the game fun to play and have concisenesses for losing a fleet, yet make it easy enough to recover from that the player does not just give up.

Problem: in my view this is the 1 area every single MMORTS I have played have a problem. on one hand if you make the units take 1 hours to build a simple ship then no one will ever PvP because it would take a week to recover from your losses, but if you make it so you can advance so quickly to having larger forces then losing units means nothing.

Our Answer: Ships build quickly and there is a unit cap based on the size of your empire (more space=more units / more space=more units needs to defend it). But what determans the strength of a fleet is its Tech level, what weapons the ships are equipped with, what shields and armer plating. Also Ship classes must be researched or discovered. So effectively it means having a Super Dreadnought is not as valuable as the Tech level to be able to build one.
Also if a new player attacks a veteran player and losses 2 fleet but discovers 1 new weapons it is a victory for him because wen he rebuilds his fleets which will not take that long they will be stronger now because they can be equipped with the new Tech he gained.
This allows players to enjoy PvP on both side, the victor still destroyed 2 enemy fleets with minimal losses, and the loser still discovered a new weapon.
