Hello,

My mother's laptop recently began acting up a few months after I set her laptop up for DSL. When she tried to shut the computer down, it would freeze. Later on, when she tried to get on to the internet, Internet Explorer wouldn't open at all. In addition, she couldn't open up My Computer to access any files/documents. I tried a couple of things and it seemed like the ndis.vxd file was the source of the problems. I backed up her documents to my computer (scanned them using my anti-virus software - all clean) and used the system restore CDs to bring it back to factory conditions. Everything seemed to be okay, but all of a sudden it is having the same problems (Can't open My Computer, get on the Internet using Internet Explorer). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
