Just a technical question on what is legal and what is not. I buy a printer, lets say a cannon, and after a while the black ink runs out, can I legally refill the cartridge as I bought it and it is mine? Or because it is a registered product o9f Cannon, do I have to buy new from Cannon? I understand that using a refill will void the warranty, but is is legal?
I buy a new printer from Epson and I set it up with continuous ink system, is this legal?
The way I see it is if I buy the product, it is mine and I can do what I want with it and after I modify it I can sell it like that. But, if I buy a program and modify it, I could not sell it as it is not mine even thought I bought it as I only bought a copy of the program not the program. Therefore, do I but the printer or just a copy? Do I own the rights to modify that printer, throw it in the garbage or sell it again? (I am not into selling modified printers, just asking.)
I have my thoughts so I am not interested in what you think, only what you may know to be legal or not. This is VERY SCARY..... I heard on Alex Jones last night that if this goes thru (Dec 31st this year) you will be VERY RESTRICTED on what supplements you can have and HOW MUCH PER DAY!!

Some examples of potential permissible safe levels of nutrients under Codex include [2]:

* Niacin - upper limits of 34 mcg daily (effective daily doses include 2000 to 3000 mcgs).

* Vitamin C - upper limits of 65 to 225 mcg daily (effective daily doses include 6000 to 10000 mcgs).

* Vitamin D - upper limits of 5 µg daily (effective daily doses include 6000 to 10000 µg).

* Vitamin E - upper limits of 15 IU of alpha tocopherol only per day, even though alpha tocopherol by itself has been implicated in cell damage and is toxic to the body (effective daily doses of mixed tocopherols include 10000 to 12000 IU).


My question is: WILL WE BE ABLE TO GET AROUND THIS IF IT DOES GO THRU??

In other words if you wanna take 1000 µg daily of Vit D and its limited to 5 µg capsules,could you not take 200 capsules to equal 1000??

Now quite frankly, this list is enough to make me want to puke. This site is supposedly for geeks. Well, real geeks don't run Windows. Real geeks don't run any Microsoft products, because we understand enough about operating systems and application programs, to know that Microsoft products are total, absolute, pieces of garbage.

Microsloth (my pet name for them, because their product delivery dates are so often late) is probably the least competent corporation on the planet. Let's take a look at some of their products:

1) XBox360 - the most badly designed game console ever.
2) Microsoft Windows 1.0 - 5 years behind GEM and GEOS
3) Internet Exploder 3 - the only browser with a file size limit on downloads, curiously it was set low enough that you couldn't download Netscape with it.
4) Microsoft Outlook & Express - the most advanced virus transmission tools ever devised.
5) Internet Exploder 6 - Totally unable to render standards compliant web pages.
6) Microsoft Office 2007 SP1 - the only ODF "capable" application that can't properly write ODF files. This one is particularly note able because 20 other applications can do it - but the biggest software company on the planet was too incompetent to manage to do it right.
7) Security - let's face it - no other operating system on the planet has the security problems that Windows has, because they all use a proper security model, while Windows uses something that appears to have been designed by a drunken Zebra. Oh, and for all those who claim that Linux and OSX will suffer just as many virus problems when they get popular, well you're wrong. Linux and OSX were designed securely from the ground up. Even Microsoft admits that Windows was not designed to be secure.

I could continue - but you should have gotten the idea by this point. Windows is a total and utter piece of garbage, designed by an incompetent corporation, which wouldn't be able to survive if it hadn't managed to turn a clone of another operating system into a monopoly position in the market place.

What you have to ask yourself is, what are you going to do if Microsoft crashes and burns? Their year end financials were not that good, and if the first quarter results end up being what I think they will be, there is a significant possibility that this could happen. Don't laugh. Think. Where was General Motors 6 years ago? Did anyone think 6 years ago that General Motors would end up in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection?

Oh, I don't think Microsoft will die this year, or the next, but you should start putting together an exit plan just in case, and you this is a good option, it will run on damned near any hardware you can through at it, and even autodetected my wireless card, and ran it, with no need to search for drivers. For example what makes Daniweb Daniweb? why it has 600.000 members unlike many similar programming forums with less than 5000 members? Why Dani succeeded and the other php programmer forum owners did not? Of course i myself wonder these questions too. Would Dani share that knowledge with us? i dont think so. Although we share many knowledge here, that kind of unique success stories are only told when the guys are retired unless they dont want their grand children to have advantage over other people, i dont critisize this, logical.

However I now have another question due to the great success of my bot. Is it possible for to expand the bot to do the same but in additional forums which are limited to the following:
  1. PHP forum (already done as in discussion)
  2. HTML/CSS forum
  3. Javascript/DHTML/Ajax
  4. Java
So basically the bot will check the rss feeds of those forums then will get from my database 10 day old links and retrieve data from those links. Also I wish for my bot to be able to check the related code snippet rss feeds (to get the links) but not scan the code snippets articles though. Is this ok with the community as I am trying to setup a super knowledge base for all those noobs and you can see what I'm doing by going to this link then go down to the "powered by daniweb" section and type in a search term like "mysql error" (it's very limited at the moment) then the grey box will fill with results. When you click one of the links in the grey box it will load up a bot generated article where the information came from daniweb. 2. How will it all work?
a. Interested speakers will send us their talk details
a. We will post the list of speakers and abstracts online
b. Participants will register for talks and will receive webinar invitations
c. Speakers will broadcast their talks using screencasting / web conferencing software and invited participants will join in
d. The participants will use IRC / Chat rooms to ask questions to the speakers during the talks

3. Are there any requirements to become a speaker?
Just two:
1. You should know what you are talking about
2. You will need to submit a video recording of your entire talk before the deadline. This will ensure that participants have something to watch in case there is a last minute technical issue or some other problem. These videos will be made available absolutely free to everyone a week after the conference.

Positive ground depends on proper circuit functioning, which is the transmission of negative ions by retention of the visible spectral manifestation known as smoke. Smoke is the thing that makes electrical circuits work. We know this to be true because every time one lets the smoke out of an electrical circuit, it stops working. This can be verified repeatedly through empirical testing.

--For example, if one places a copper bar across the terminals of a battery, prodigious quantities of smoke are liberated and the battery shortly ceases to function. In addition, if one observes smoke escaping from an electrical component such as a Lucas voltage regulator, it will also be observed that the component no longer functions. The logic is elementary and inescapable!

The function of the wiring harness is to conduct the smoke from one device to another. When the wiring springs a leak and lets all the smoke out of the system, nothing works afterward. Starter motors were considered unsuitable for British motorcycles for some time largely because they consumed large quantities of smoke, requiring very unsightly large wires.
