first thing i would do which you may have is a system restore.

Problem solved:
I uninstalled the specific program and re-installed it, and bingo the program was in my open with list.

true it doesn't add itself to the list, and i did try checking the box first and it still won't add the program to the open list.

right click, choose open with, the program i need isn't listed so i browse find the program in program files and open..............but it isn't part of the open list? This works fine on other pc's...

Anyone with some good insight into FIOS? Or know of any non-bias sites that compare the 3.

I've had similar experiences that usually points to corrupt memory.

If you have 2 moduales pull one out, switch it with the other slot.

If you only have one slot n one module, try to find away...
