It may be a 1 shot deal. After that the F11 functionality is gone.
BTW: Gateway requires the OEM DVD/CD when doing a F11 recovery.

Bad news, It may be a dead dog. I had 2 this week. Even replacing the 100+ pin flatpak keyboard controller chip does not fix it, nor replacing BIOS or CMOS chip.

Try resetting your BIOS to default settings. Then if not, it appears that one of the Windows drivers is corrupt, invalid license, corrupt Service dependency.

One side of the DC circuit is failing. If it is a MA2 or MA3 it is most likely a MOSFET on the front end, (4814/4816/4916). Also check with a charged and known good battery

Check the CMOS battery also- sometimes when the motherboard is replaced, they give you one off the shelf that's been sitting- or a recycled on that battery was the original.

Typical problems with the DV6000 is a FET PQ52 near the coin cell. Especially if you have the Athlon64 with nVidia graphics.
