Ok now I realise the problem, not using arrays but returning them.
Try making a global variable of some sort & instead of using 'return' just have the later parts of the program access the global...

There isn't THAT much difference between 98 & XP... anyway they have tutors for 200 & XP as well, just that I work on a 98 mostly so I decided to get that course instead.

In other languages a two deminsion array would look like:
array_name[4,19]
however your code has:
array_name[4][19]

Well, it is at LEAST as good as Visual Basic... Visual Basic can run DLLs, Delphi can both run DLLs AND create DLLs.

A MMOG engine.
It had a global view of all players & you could only see the people on your own 'map'... there was a limit of 14,000 maps or something like that... 256X256.

Made it with Game Maker... took a few weeks.
It is still in development, slower then before, but it is still being worked on.
