I just tried that and failed. I followed all of the steps, restarted, same blue page came up. upon reentering in safe mode, I tried the first steps again (start, run, msinfo32, components, display)...

Thanks so far. As of now there are no visual/noticable signs of an infection. However, I can still only boot under safe mode. The blue screen still comes up, where my desktop normally would start....

i recently ran all of my adware/spyware programs and found a lot of threats to my computer. as i usually do, i deleted everything that showed up. i dont know if the adware is tied in with my problem....

there are two things in my control panel that i "can not remove"...one of them is "flogobar"..its a tool bar but its not in use..and it was part of some spyware program i had..nothing ever finds it...
