Try this -
Remove using Hardware Manager.
Right click My computer/properties/hardware manager.
look for sound devices
uninstall.
Restart PC
Uninstall any unnecessary drivers.
Restart PC...

The core clock is the speed of the card itself - say 750-900Mhz.

Check the boot sequence in the BIOS.
