What MIME/Type encoding are you using and is the stylesheet loaded from a server or your local machine?

In Mozilla - go to Tools > Page Info and see what the Type attribute displays

If you have an earlier iMac (g4 or g5) chances are you do not have a wireless card which Apple refers to them as AirPort cards. If you already have a wired network - you may not need it.

That last line did it - I had WEBSERVER set to -YES-. So I changed it - rebooted and voila - it served the index page! Thanks!

Right click on your Windows desktop and select properties. Go to settings tab and you'll notice two squares with 1 and 2. Try selecting one of them and see what happens
