u need to have JDK/JRE installed to RUN .jar file
but, .jar can be OPENED by winrar or 7zip , etc programs, but u can see only class files, not of any use. u can get it from sun/java website.

many times when u try to copy a number of files from cd to your harddisk, if there is any single corrupt file then the whole copying process halts.

i learnt a few thing abt autorun.inf
it could be used to get a new command (bold font/default) for the drives for double click., like Open(0) ,etc. (used by ctfmon.exe virus, adobeR.exe...

i don't have much idea then, try to access your files thru command promt ,...

i copied the autiorun on my drive n tried to delete it simply but it didn't do coz
autorun is a system file ./....
n aslo u hav to delete is...

run gpedit.msc

goto user config>admin temp>system>turn off auto play>
check enabled,
turn of autoplay on all drives...

this is the last effort from my side...

copy the following code in notepad and save as "xyz.reg" and merge it......

do u see ctfmon.e xe

or do a search for this file
do not delete the...

check if u have done
"show hidden files"...
check if you can see system files in c: drive
