i went into the device manager and the drive is listed there
no exclamation points either...
i went into the regedit last pm and tried to delete the upper and lower filters and there were no...

i have tried alot of things people have told me to do with no luck..thankyou anyways :)

and i have never been able in the past to use any cd's or installm software...only dvd's...

go to control panel then hit internet options click on connections tab and set it for lan see if that helps
