Last few days.... i have been having trouble with MSN messenger - windows live messenger v8 AND windows messenger

okay i understand.... should i uninstall IE7 then? btw i believe the new windows live messenger i downloaded was not a beta version... though the original problem of this thread was a beta version. ...

I couldnt find avast! in the add / remove programs list... though i deleted the hijackthis part and then deleted the program folder...

ive done the system restore stuff too but when i signed into...

I had a little trouble with the steps you listed... I don't have Avast installed, i used to but i thought i already uninstalled it :S

okay i fixed the csrss file but the other one with the stratup i couldnt find in the hijackthis program. though i still did ur steps... i came up with this log file:

i have the exact same problem for about a month and a half now and it is driving me nuts! i even tried using older versions of msn messenger and those programs told me to update my msn to a newer...
