You can cal the Date() function on onClick event and display the old date in the first field you should disable the first field .i think this is what u want ......just see the code below

onChange event shud cal a JSP page where u get the data to be displayed in the secont text field cal the JSP page and check for a condition ..True part to set that value to the session Attribute...

cal ur jsp using a javascript ,cal that script upon onChange u can write ur bean cals in that JSP
