Hi All

My friend took his laptop into the Uni ICT dept and with another program found other malware. These have been dealt with so hopefully this issue has been solved.

My friend has an ASUS laptop and he has a virus which crashes his PC indiscriminately. He has installed AVG and found a rootkit under this file name....

I agree Gerbil, it has definately something to do with XP updates. i have them switched off and now i no longer get that error!
Also i think it may be something to do with qqtask-quicktime and also...

sorry no luck!

firstly the cmd said that the process was not running and i entered the second command and restarted but no luck...

Any ideas? i have disabled a few programs from startup......
