I have a dell c400 laptop running windows XP.

When ever it performs a windows update it freezes.

THe problem seems to be wmiprvse.exe which uses 100 percent of my CPU.

Just wondered if...

Looks to me like you need to update your graphics card drivers and chech your graphics aperture size in the bios.

Just do Fn and then one of the F1-12 keys. One should have a sqaure symbol on it.

Try to update all Drivers and Check setting to do with your GFX card in the bios. I had problems with the graphics aperture size which was set too big.

HI

I had the same problem with Battlefield 2 but I updated the drivers and now it is fine. Also before I had white tree and bushes but now they're gone! (That's a relief)
