i never faced something like that,,
once i faced that IE was not loading my personal settings for the DSL..
but i solved this by updating my OS...
some file was missing...
other wise it's all...

firefox is the best one according to me....
it is better than the best...
no ohter bowser can compete it ..
and its newer version has came with more improvements

you should use windows repair system or update the OS..
