i dunno what i did but now WMP is working fine now, i think it was the logitech setpoint that was causing the problem.
I got a laser dinovo bluetooth keyboard and mouse
the defalt media player was...

im having the same problem, everytime i connect my ipod i get that message

check all the processes on the task manager (crtl alt del )and check the CPU USAGE

everytime i play a file and thn close WM the process wmplayer.exe stays on the task manager but is not using cpu but MEM USAGE
if i open 100 time WM i see 100 wmplayer.exe using memory on the task...

i remember i did this tweak a few days ago
i dunno if this is causing the problem

These Settings will fine tune your systems memory

management -at least 512MB of ram recommended
