Just because your fans or lights work doesn't mean your PSU is good. I'm not saying thats your problem but it is a common ailment, cheap and easy to test. also make sure your video card is set well....

When you say the other cd, do you mean there are only 2 that it can't read? How about your program disks, all other disks? cdroms do go bad.

Check that power supply. Make sure power connects are secure. It's a start.

It loads drivers into the memory but when it goes to install it on the HD it reboots.
Mine was a bad hard drive. I put in a different one and it worked fine.

Start with as little plugged in as possible.
Try one peripheral at a time. Your damage could be one of many things, so you must use process of elimination. Be patient.
