as less number of peoples use msn . your traffic to site will be always less than traffic you are earning from google or yahoo . in my case msn gives 4% of my site traffic and google gives 18 ...

if you have good rank in msn . then defenately you will get good rank in yahoo and google too . all you need to do is have some patience and keep doing what you are doing now .

i would limit it to maximum 20 . and also i will place only inbound links on pages . it does not affect your ranking how many sites links you have placed however it really affect how many sites...

if you really fail to get rank you can use google adwords service to bring customers on your site or get some cpm deal for some smaller networks
