He wouldn't have c:\windows\system32 at all (natively).

In your BIOS (F2, F8, or F12 when you boot up, it should say so), there's an option to start your CD/DVD drive up first.

I think it's because you have "bind" in there twice.

Try /usr/sbin/named -u bind -g -c /etc/namedb/named-lan.conf

You seem to be using GNOME, correct?

GNOME sometimes screws up when running KDE applications, such as KDevelop.

if you partitian your hard drive i think you can install fedore core (x) with windows on it at the same time. dont use the windows partitianer, use something like particianmagic ($70 i think).
